ON  FAGAZINES

We desire to provide a platform for diverse forms of published matter and collaborative projects, centered around a multitude of queer subjective lenses; registering and putting forward the subverting quality of queerness, and radiating a “longing that propels us onward, beyond romances of the negative and toiling in the present. Queerness is that thing that lets us feel that this world is not enough, that indeed something is missing.” José Esteban Muñoz, Cruising Utopia: the Then and There of Queer Futurity (New York and London: New York University Press, 2019[2009]), p. 1.

Existing in a threesome with Kuntenserven Mag. and Hanky Publishing, FagaZines provides a crevice through which we enter the gaping hole of (self)publishing. In the FagaZines, Kuntenserven Inc. aims to publish the thoughts and tribulations of those who serve cunt. We take our faggot bodies as a starting point, render it into material, and share their carnality with the world, seeking to break the chains of commodification and normalisation. As we see queerness not as a one-size-fits-all, but instead as a multifaceted carnal embodiment holding many lived experiences, our FagaZines exist across a wide plane of formats, contexts, and ideas on which an abundance of Faga-practitioners can find a place to call home.
